St. Louis County courts likely closed all week

The St. Louis County Courts building will be closed Wednesday and possibly longer after the building lost power on Monday. County officials are optimistic that power will be restored to government buildings sometime Thursday, but the structures will probably not be open for business until Monday. The St. Louis County Circuit Court set up in the rotunda of the Buzz Westfall Justice Center to accept emergency orders.

Electrical fire shuts down St. Louis County courts

The St. Louis County Courts Building will remain closed Tuesday and possibly longer after an electrical fire knocked out power on Monday. A fire in the boiler room of the government complex may have been sparked by a lightning strike. The power outage caused St. Louis County courts to set up in the entryway of the courthouse Monday morning to handle essential court business.
