Metro is back in the litigation saddle over its MetroLink extension project. This time with a lawsuit against the city of Clayton.

Imagine if you had to litigate a 100-day case, with 81 witnesses and 44 lawyers actively involved. That's what the attorneys on the MetroLink trial in 2007 had to do. Attorneys on both sides of the lawsuit - including Richard Hardcastle, left, and Tim Thornton, center - presented a CLE on complex litigation. St. Louis County Circuit Judge Carolyn Whittington, right, talked about how she approached the trial and what could be done to make the process easier on the judge assigned to the case. A clip of the movie "Groundhog Day" was played to describe what it was like to be in trial for a 100 days.
