St. Louis Cardinals manager and lawyer Tony La Russa hopes to end his legal battle with Twitter this week. In early May, La Russa filed a lawsuit against the "micro-blogging" Web site alleging a trademark infringement when it failed to remove an anonymous account posing as La Russa. The fake Twitter account had a picture of La Russa and used his name, making it appear that he was the one responsible for the postings. The account's "tweets," or postings, made derogatory comments toward La Russa and the Cardinals.
