New scanner in St. Louis County Courts Building

A third scanner was moved to the St. Louis County Courts Building from the Justice Center last week. The new lane will be for employee use at peak times and should open Monday, said Sgt. Tony Coleman, Bureau of Security Services supervisor in St. Louis County. The same level of security will apply, Coleman said.

U.S. Navy veteran Keevey Davis raises a new American flag Tuesday outside the St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center with the help of fellow veterans Rodney Smith, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and Gus Buttice, a deputy sheriff who served in the U.S. Army. St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Jimmie Edwards gave a speech at the flag raising event to recognize employees of the Family Court who are veterans.

Help for homeowners

Attorney General Chris Koster’s website has a new feature aimed at helping consumers understand the foreclosure process and obtain certain paperwork, Koster announced at a press conference Monday in downtown St. Louis. The site includes descriptions of documents that homeowners can obtain from a loan servicer and a form letter asking a lender to provide documents related to a person’s mortgage.
