Ninian "Nin" Edwards Jr., a former St. Louis County circuit judge, is remembered by his friends and colleagues for his compassion for children and families and his commitment to family law. Edwards died on Thursday at the age of 87. "He had an unbelievable affinity for helping kids and family values," said former St. Louis County Circuit Judge Martin Schiff. "I shared his view that the most important assignment that you can have is to help kids and families. It gets down to the very heart and fabric of our society. That's what attracted him to the court - the ability to make a difference."
