Lawsuit faults hospital for late HIV test

A physician whistleblower is suing a Kansas City area hospital authority for allegedly firing him once he complained about a belated HIV test.

The retaliation case involves a doctor who reportedly quit because of other health and safety issues before he was terminated.

Dr. John Carter is accusing the University of Kansas Hospital Authority of breach of contract for not letting him finish 90 days with pay as outlined in his employment agreement, according to the lawsuit recently filed in Jackson County Circuit Court.
