Despite unease, court OKs KCP&L purchase

The Missouri Court of Appeals Western District said Tuesday that the state's Public Service Commission followed the applicable statutes and regulations in allowing KCP&L's holding company, Great Plains Energy Inc., to take over Aquila and operate it as a subsidiary.
