Raytown lawyer Coleman gets one-year probation

The Missouri Supreme Court placed a Jackson County lawyer who has a history with the Office of Chief Disciplinary counsel on one year of probation Tuesday. Complaints against Raytown attorney Larry D. Coleman (pictured) go back to the 1990s. The disciplinary counsel in April asked the court to suspend Coleman's law license, contending that he charged unreasonable fees and commingled his personal funds and client funds in his IOLTA account, as well accepted a settlement without client approval.
