FBI cracks down on predators

In the past two years, the St. Louis Division of the FBI topped all other U.S. field offices in arrests of individuals on child pornography and child sex charges. Since John Gillies (left) joined the office as the special agent in charge in October 2007, the office has arrested 107 child predators. There have been more that 114 indictments and 93 convictions.

"Predators may think they can hide in the security of their own homes and think they're safe," Gillies said in a press conference on Wednesday. "But I assure them they're not."

Ohlsen investigated in 2008 Clayton bombing

Man said to be link between campaign ethics violations and state Sen. Jeff Smith

A former Democratic operative has been linked to the bombing in a Clayton parking garage that injured one Armstrong Teasdale attorney, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The newspaper said it obtained a copy of a federal warrant that allowed officials to search a downtown loft rented by Milton "Skip" Ohlsen III.

Ohlsen is said to be the link between campaign ethics violations and state Sen. Jeff Smith.
