Attorney General Chris Koster (pictured in a file photo) wants to remove Dent County Prosecutor Jessica Sparks from office. Pointing to a number of maladies accrued in recent months, Koster's office filed a motion on Friday known as "quo warranto" against the Republican prosecutor. Quo warranto, in essence, is put forward against an officeholder who isn't properly executing his or her duties. Under provisions of the motion, a judge can oust somebody from a position. The petition accuses Sparks of refusing "to perform official acts and duties which by law it is her duty to do or perform."
