Read More »Just days before announcing that Ozzie's Restaurant & Sports Bar was closing, the management company for Ozzie's dropped its lawsuit against the operators of Westport Plaza. G&H Management Inc., which manages Cardinal great Ozzie Smith's restaurant, alleged it was misled during lease extension negotiations over the nature of Albert Pujols' restaurant. G&H filed suit Golub & Co., the mall's operators, in St. Louis County Circuit Court in April claiming it renewed its lease at Westport with the understanding that no other competing sports bars would open.

Read More »The restaurant management company of Ozzie Smith's restaurant is slugging it out with the owners of Westport Plaza over the opening of a restaurant owned by another Cardinal great, Albert Pujols. Smith's restaurant is managed by G&H Management Inc., whose owner alleges they were misled during lease extension negotiations over the nature of the first baseman's venture. According to the filing, Golub & Co. said they would not allow a competing sports bar in the complex but acknowledged that a "high-end, baseball personality themed restaurant" would open in August 2006.
