Husch Blackwell has added Anne D. Cartwright as senior counsel in the firm’s Kansas City office, where she will represent educational institutions, handling governance, risk-management, compliance, faculty, student and general employment matters.
Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Cartwright was a Judicial Clerk for the Hon. Nanette Laughrey, U.S. District Court, Western District Court of Missouri (2008-2010). Prior to her clerkship, Cartwright spent six years as a litigator in Chicago and Kansas City firms; on secondment, she served as in-house litigation counsel to a Fortune 100 company. Cartwright began her legal career as a Judicial Clerk for the Hon. Charles Norgle, Sr., U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois (1995-1997).
Cartwright received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (1995), where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team. Cartwright received her B.A. from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. (1991).
