When early residents of Platte County were laid to rest in their family cemeteries, little did they know that one day their lands would be part of Kansas City International Airport.

Kansas City, which owns much of the land surrounding the airport, asked an appeals court on Wednesday to help it move four old cemeteries that it says lie in the path of development. However, living relatives are fighting the move.
