Richard Gard
Richard Gard, publisher of Missouri Lawyers Weekly, has been elected as the next president of the Missouri Press Association.
Gard, an attorney who has been president and publisher of Missouri Lawyers Media for eight years, has served on the Missouri Press Association board of directors since 2009 and has led its government affairs committee since 2007. MPA is the newspaper trade organization in the state.
Gard will succeed Mark Maassen, of The Kansas City Star, as president of MPA on Jan. 1. He will serve for one year.
