Prosecutors Jennifer Joyce, Jean Peters-Baker featured at UMSL event

The Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life will bring together prosecutors from the state’s two largest metropolitan areas Monday for a “Statehouse Sisters” discussion.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce and Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters-Baker will talk about their experiences in the real world of law and order. U.S. Magistrate Judge Nannette Baker, of the Eastern District of Missouri, will moderate the discussion.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at noon Monday in Century Room A of the Millennium Student Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

For nearly 10 years during Women’s History Month, “Statehouse Sisters” has provided an opportunity for the university and St. Louis communities to meet women state legislators. This year’s program shifts the focus to women leaders in the legal profession.
