Fugate given 20 years for murder

The jury in the trial for David Ray Fugate, 49, of Cedar Hill, sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment for second-degree murder and 10 years for armed criminal action for the death of Michael D. Crutchfield, 22, of Festus. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June 28 at 1 p.m., at which time Judge Mark Stoll will determine whether the terms will be consecutive or concurrent.
