Jury returns $20 million verdict in plane crash suit

A jury in Franklin County has returned a $20 million verdict in a lawsuit over a fatal plane crash. The verdict reached Tuesday amounts to $4 million for each of five families of people who died in the 2006 crash, said a court clerk and a plaintiff attorney. The details aren’t in the court file yet. The verdict is against defendant Doncasters Inc., which made a part of the airplane engine.
