Exec’s case against A-B goes on appeal

A former executive’s gender discrimination claims against Anheuser-Busch must be arbitrated, a lawyer for the St. Louis brewery argued Tuesday in the Missouri Court of Appeals. Gerard T. Carmody, of Carmody MacDonald in St. Louis, said Francine Katz, who had been A-B’s vice president of communications and consumer affairs when Belgium-based InBev acquired the local brewery, agreed in two separate contracts to arbitrate any claims against the company.
