At steroids lab, Bonds one of ‘three musketeers,’ jury told

Barry Bonds, the Major League Baseball home run record holder accused of lying to a grand jury about taking muscle-building substances, was one of the “three musketeers” of a steroids-distributing laboratory, a prosecutor told jurors in San Francisco. Urine collected from Bonds a few months before his 2003 grand jury testimony tested positive for a so-called designer steroid and exogenous testosterone, Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Parrella said in opening statements Tuesday at Bonds’s perjury trial in federal court.
