Panera agrees to $5.75 million settlement

A securities class action against Panera Bread Co. is on its way to a $5.75 million settlement. The lawsuit, filed in 2008 in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis, alleged Panera and four executives weren’t open about the company’s growth strategy and “Crispani,” a flatbread pizza product that flopped.
