Laclede Gas loses easement fight — so far

The Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District has ruled that when easements are granted to counties and utilities at the same time, such as in the building of subdivisions, they go to the county first. In a case pitting St. Charles County against Laclede Gas that means the utility is on the hook for moving gas lines along Pitman Hill Road.
