Two Jefferson County school districts will ask voters on Nov. 3 to approve the no-tax increase bond issues necessary for them to participate in a bond program funded by the federal stimulus package.
De Soto School District voters will be asked to approve a no-tax increase $11.5 million bond issue to improve and expand facilities at the district's four campuses. The school district currently has the third lowest rate in Jefferson County with 4.11 cent tax levy. Superintendent Andy Arbeitman (pictured) said participating in the federal program will give taxpayers more "bang for their bucks."
