Lever to retire from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri

After 30 years of serving the poor and underprivileged, Ann B. Lever is retiring from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. Lever began working for LSEM while still in law school and was hired in 1979 when she graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law. In April 1985, Richard B. Teitelman, then LSEM's executive director, promoted Lever to the position of director of legal education. "She was the heart of my program," Teitelman, now a Missouri Supreme Court judge, said. "Probably the best thing I ever did as a lawyer was hire Ann Lever as program director. "
