Whistleblower suit referred to Supreme Court

An appeals court has asked the Missouri Supreme Court to hear a case concerning the standard plaintiffs have to prove in whistleblower actions. The Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District determined that Daniel Margiotta had presented enough evidence to survive summary judgment in his suit against Christian Hospital Northeast Northwest. “In this case, the record contains evidence that would support a finding of exclusive causation as well as evidence that would support a finding that respondents had a valid, non-pretextual reason to fire the appellant,” wrote Chief Judge Nannette Baker, Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District
