A preliminary settlement of $4.5 million has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging that a St. Louis-area frozen custard shop sent unsolicited advertisements by fax.

A Quiznos franchise reached a $4.9 million settlement with St. Louis class members for sending out unwanted advertising faxes. In the settlement agreement reached on May 26, Global Bizdimensions maintained it believed that the recipients had given their consent to receive the food advertising specials by fax. The faxes sent out were advertising lunch specials for Global Bizdimensions' Quiznos Subs franchise location in Crestwood.
